Realme has recently launched Realme GT2 in India. The device was launched in China earlier this year. So, it would be great to compare this new smartphone with its previous iteration, Realme GT.
So, lets compare the specifications and price of these two smartphones.
Design and Dimensions
Realme GT2 comes in Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, Titanium Blue color variants. The phone has a thickness of 8.6 mm and the weight of the smartphone is 194.5 / 199.8 grams (depending on color). Dimensions of the device: 162.9 x 75.8 x 8.6 mm.
Realme GT comes in Gold/Black, Blue, Silver color variants. The phone has a thickness of 8.4 mm (Glass) / 9.1 mm (Leather) and the weight of the smartphone is 186 grams. Dimensions of the device: 158.5 x 73.3 x 8.4 mm.
- GT is definitely thinner and lighter than GT2.
Display
GT2 comes with 6.62-inch, FHD+ AMOLED 2400×1080 pixel resolution Display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The display has 20:9 aspect ratio with 398 ppi density and 85.7% screen-to-body ratio. The display also has 1300 nits peak brightness with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
GT comes with 6.62-inch, FHD+ Super AMOLED 2400×1080 pixel resolution Display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The display has 20:9 aspect ratio with 409 ppi density and 85.9% screen-to-body ratio.
- Both the devices have similar displays but GT2’s display is slightly bigger.
SoC
Both phones feature Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm) SoC which has an octa core CPU at a clock rate of 1800 – 2840 MHz and Adreno 660 GPU.
Camera
GT2 features a triple camera setup: 50MP Main (OIS) + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro with Dual-LED dual-tone flash and a 16MP Front Camera.

Realme GT2 provides better value for money than Realme GT. GT2 is better than GT in almost every aspect like the camera, more Software updates, battery etc.
