In this post, we are competing with two devices from iqoo and Xiaomi at a similar price range. The IQoo 9 and Xiaomi 12 Pro both offer flagship-level camera processors and much more.

IQoo 9 vs Xiaomi 12Pro: Display
Both the devices offer the same E5 AMOLED display with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. The Xiaomi 12 offers a 6.73inch QHD+ HDR10+ 12-bit display while IQoo 9 comes with 6.78inch FHD+ HDR10(not HDR10+).
Both of the devices have around 91% screen body ratio with 1500nits peak brightness. Moreover, Xiaomi12 Pro has an additional Dolby vision & LPTO2.0 technology which was not supported on IQoo 9. Moreover, the Xiaomi 12Pro got an A+ rating from Display Mate In the display section, the Xiaomi 12 Pro wins here with great margins.
IQoo 9 vs Xiaomi 12 Pro: color & Build
IQoo 9 is slightly heavy when compared to Xiaomi 12. Although, The Xiaomi device has 8.2mm thickness while IQoo is 8.4mm thick. Both of the devices come with a glass back with an aluminum frame and weigh 204g.
Additionally, the Xiaomi device has Gorilla Glass VICTUS protection. Eventually, there is no info about the protection on IQoo 9. Additionally, the Xiaomi device offers more color variants( Black, Green, Blue & Pink) than IQoo (White, Orange & Black). In this section, the Xiaomi 12 Pro device becomes the winner here.
Processor, RAM & Storage
As we are comparing the upward variant of both devices. This device comes with Snapdragon Gen 1 processor altogether with a 4 nm fabrication process. This flagship processor is bonded with 12GB LPDDR5 Ram with 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage on the iQoo 9. On the other hand, Xiaomi 12 Pro offers only an 8GB/128GB option at that price.
Moreover, both of the devices come with a VC heat dissipation system. Although, Xiaomi 12 Pro offers a 2600 mm square soaking plate while the iqoo has a 3829 mm square shopping plate. Considering the thermal efficiency, we can consider iQoo 9 as a winner here with a slight margin.
IQoo 9 vs Xiaomi 12Pro: Battery & Charging
Although both devices have a similar battery capacity 4500Mah in Xiaomi 12 & 4700Mah in iQoo 9. Eventually, both devices offer fast 120W charging with 10W reverse charging. On the other hand, Xiaomi heads 50W wireless charging & 10W reverse wireless charging based on power delivery 3.0 & Quick Charge 4+.
Although, We considered Xiaomi 12 Pro as the winner there.
Camera & Other Features
In this section too, both devices have a similar triple rear camera setup. However, Xiaomi 12 offers an IMX707 50MP camera while the IQoo 9 sports a 50MP GN5 sensor.
The Other sensor is a 13mp wide-angle camera & 12MP telephoto on iQoo 9. On the other hand, Xiaomi 12 Pro has two other sensors including 50MP wide-angle & 50MP telephoto. Another point is Xiaomi offers a 32 MP selfie camera while Iqoo 9 has a 16 MP front camera.
Comprising with this, Xiaomi offers Harman Kardon speaker, triband GPS, infrared sensor together with color spectrum in their device. Moreover, Both devices have studio speakers powered by Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, In-display fingerprint scanner under the hood.
In this section too, Xiaomi 12Pro stands out as a winner.
Xiaomi 12 Pro vs iQoo 9: UI & Conclusion
Both devices have Android 12 based on their Custom UI out of the box. As both devices are priced between 51k – 60k rupees. It is a difficult question, which one should we consider?
According to me, if you need better cameras, wireless charging, additional sensors, better display, you should consider Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, if you need more storage and RAM, you can go with iQoo 9.
