Realme 9 Pro+
While for the upcoming 9 series from Realme. Madhav Seth officially confirmed that there will be a pro+ variant coming alongside this series too. Earlier, Realme 9 Pro+ was rumoured to have Snapdragon 870 5G processor. Now, it is confirmed that it will have Mediatek 920 5G chipset. This is the same chipset you get on Xiaomi 11i. So, let’s see its more confirmed specs too.
Display & Build
While it’s the top model of the series, you will get a glass panel on the back. Although, it weighs 189G with 8.1mm thickness. The back camera design would be similar to Realme 9i launched this week. At the front, you will get a 6.43inch display with a top-side punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera.
Moreover, Realme 9 Pro+ has a 90Hz AMOLED display with 1000nits (peak) brightness. Eventually, there is around 92% screen body ratio & Gorilla Glass 5 protection. This FHD+ display is further bound with a 180Hz touch sample rate.
Battery & Processor
However, it has only a 4500MAh battery which is subsequently paired with a 65W super dart charger. You will get Realme Safety Chip on the Type-C port.
Eventually, there is a Mediatek chipset on the Realme 9 Pro+. The Mediatek Dimensity 920 seems to be similar to Snapdragon 778G with a 6nm Architecture. It has two 2.5GHz Cortex-A78 cores & 6x 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores. While you will get Mali- G68 MC4 GPU for gaming performance. Realme has also given an In-built liquid cooling for better thermal ejaculation. You will also get up to 3Gbps 5G download speed with dual 5G standby.
There is LPDDR4X RAM & UFS 2.2 storage on the device. At the moment, you will also get Wi-Fi 6/5, Bluetooth V5, NFC, 3.5mm jack with the device. However, you won’t get any SD card slots on the phone.
Camera, Audio & UI
This time, Realme seems to be working on their camera quality instead of Megapixel size. So, they have given out a 50MP (customised by Realme) Sony sensor on the back. It is further paired with 8MP ultra-wide & 2MP depth/macro. You will also get 4k video recording & OIS support on the back sensor. Meanwhile, there’s a 16MP camera for selfies & video calling.
Realme 9 Pro+ can either launch with Android 11 or the latest Android 12 with Realme UI. It depends on its launch date. There are stereo speakers set given by Realme on the phone with Dolby Atmos. For security, you will get In-display Fingerprint with a Face Unlock feature on the phone.
Variants
You can get this device in three different colour options: Midnight Black, Aurora Green and Sunrise Blue. Also, Realme 9 Pro+ is available in many variants too: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB. The expected price for the base variant is above ₹20,000.
Realme 9 Pro+: Conclusion
The Realme 9 series may announce the first week of February in China & the Global regions. While the India Launch may vary in the last of the next months. So on, if the device launches out above the 20k price segment then it doesn’t worth much to buy. Many other phones like Xiaomi 11i, 11i hypercharge or the Realme GT master edition are better options if you buy them in the Sales. So let’s wait for the Realme 9 Pro+ to launch.
