Realme 9Pro Series launch tipped for February 16 {Exclusive}

The Chinese smartphone company Realme is almost ready for the launch of the Realme 9Pro Series in India. Ahead of its official launch, our sources confirmed that it can happen on February 16 in India while the European launch will debut on 15 February. Also, Realme will launch only two models of the series at that event. With Realme 9i as the first phone of the series, we will get the Realme 9 Pro & Pro+ variant for now. While the Realme 9 may debut later in March.

Realme 9Pro Series: Key Specs

Both the 9Pro & Pro+ variant will be above the ₹15K segment. So, we can expect some decent specs on the device. This device will be 5G ready. The Realme 9 Pro will feature Snapdragon 695 chipset at 6nm architecture. This is the same chipset you got on Moto G71.

At the moment, the Pro+ variant has been packed up with Dimensity 920 5G chipset. This 6nm chipset is also featured on Xiaomi 11i series. Although, both of the chipsets are some of the best chipsets at that price range. You can also expect UFS 2.2 storage & LPDDR4X RAM to sport on Realme 9Pro Series.

Display & Camera

Likewise the processor, the display also seems to be great. The native Realme 9 Pro features a 6.59inch tall display while the Pro+ gets a 6.43inch compact display. Moreover, you will get a 90Hz on Pro+ & 120Hz refresh rate on the native Pro model. Although these AMOLED displays also get a side punch-hole especially.

Meanwhile, Realme 9Pro Series will debut with a glass back with a similar Realme 9i design. While you will get an In-display fingerprint & punch hole for the camera. At the back, both have a similar triple camera design with a 2MP macro & 8MP ultra-wide sensor. While the main sensor is different on both devices. The Realme 9 Pro sports a 64MP camera sensor. On the other side, Realme has specially customised a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor for the Realme 9 Pro+. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter for these devices.

Battery & Others

For the battery also, the Native Realme 9 Pro offers a 5000Mah larger battery with 33W fast charging support. For the Pro+, Realme has used a 4500Mah cell offering 65W faster-charging support.

Both phones will run the Android-12 operating system with a tint of Realme UI 3.0. Especially, you would get the dedicated card slot & 3.5mm jack on these phones.

Realme 9Pro Series: Pricing

The phones can launch with 6GB RAM & a 128GB storage option. While you can also expect both phones to have an 8GB variant with up to 256GB storage option. Meanwhile, the pricing of these phones is not confirmed yet. But you can expect the Realme 9Pro will cost around ₹18K -20K. While the Pro+ variant cost up to ₹22K for the base variant.
